Lois Winkler

WINKLER, Lois Jane, age 80, of Swartz Creek passed away June 1, 2022. Memorial Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, June 6, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Chaplain Adam Doyle officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until the service time at the funeral home on Monday. Committal Service for both Lois and her late husband, Robert (2007), will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 7, 2022 in the Columbarium at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly. Contributions in memory of Lois may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.

Lois was born November 2, 1941 in Wyandotte, MI the daughter of Henry B. and Helen Ione (Hoshaw) Price. She married Robert John Winkler on October 6, 1962 in Flint, Michigan. She was a homemaker. She loved her family with her whole heart.

She is survived by three children, Craig Winkler of Swartz Creek, Kim (Scooter) Therrien of Traverse City, and Sherri (John) Manier of Swartz Creek; her grandchildren, John (Kayla), Nicholas, Kasey, Keith, Tyler, Travis (Megan), Zachary, and Kara, David (Amanda), Hollie (Will), and their families; one great-grandchild, Sloane; two sisters, Margie Fisher of Lake City, MI and Joan Walker of Murfreeboro, TN; several nieces and nephews.

The family expresses their heartfelt appreciation for the special care and friendship given to Lois by her McLaren Hospice nurse, Maryann and to the staff of Regency of Grand Blanc.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; and sisters, Ione and Ila Mae.
