SOLDAN, Lois Mae- Age 92, of Davison formerly of Flint, died Friday September 6, 2019. Funeral services will be held 12PM Friday.September 13, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Scott Davis, Pastor Tom Knight and Pastor Bent Kriesch officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills, Flint. Visitation will be held 4PM- 8PM Thursday and 11AM until time of service Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to Faith Missionary Church. Lois was born August 14, 1927 in Litchfield, KY, the daughter of the late Grey and Georgia (Wysong) Vertrees. She married Edward Spence in 1945 and he preceded her in death in 1968. Later she married LaVerne Soldan. Mrs. Soldan Moved to Flint in 1945 and retired from Ascension Hospital formerly of St. Joseph Hospital with 30 years of service. Lois enjoyed watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and chocolate. She was a member of the prayer team and attended Faith Missionary Church for over 50 years. Surviving are: children, Linda Inman of Ovid, Richard (Barbara) Spence of TN, Susan (Russell) Jacko of Grand Blanc; 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by several special children who called her grandma Lois; many "unofficial" grandchildren and great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Grey and Georgia Vertrees; son in law Gary Inman; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
