Lois Jean MURCKO

MURCKO, Lois Jean - age 86, of Flushing, died Friday, October 14, 2011 at her residence. Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at St. Bartholomew Anglican Church, 9252 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Fr. Gene Geromel, SSC officiating. Interment will be held at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Sunday and 2-4 and 6-9 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will also be held 10 AM until the time of service Tuesday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Bartholomew Anglican Church. Mrs. Murcko was born November 28, 1924 in Flint the daughter of Elias and Mabel (Richards) Langdon. She married Bill Murcko on May 4, 1946 and he preceded her in death on August 17, 1991. She worked at AC Spark Plug during the war and retired from Fischer Coldwater (Turnstead) Plant. Mrs. Murcko was known for her great cooking. Surviving are: four children, William "Bill" (Betty) Murcko of Berkley, Richard Murcko, Christine Murcko and Phyllis Raleigh all of Flushing; grandchildren, David (Mary) Murcko of Rye, NY, John (Kelli) Murcko of Midway, UT, Jennifer (Dale) Wilson of Bloomfield Hills, George Ostrander of Berkley; four great-granddaughters, Megan Gardella, Madeline "Maddie" Murcko, Sydney Ostrander, Melissa Murcko; three great-grandsons, Seth Wilson, Josh Wilson, William Elias "Eli" Murcko; sister, Barbara (Dave) Weaver of the Villages, FL; two sisters-in-law, Susan Jones of Flint, Pauline McKie of Murrieta, CA; brother-in-law, Mike Grab of Flushing; many nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to the McLaren Hospice nurses and doctors and doctor Silvia Seoane and staff. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Murcko; granddaughter, Melissa Ostrander; parents, Mabel and Elias Langdon; sister, Jean French, brother, Robert Langdon; son-in-law, Jim Raleigh; very special friend, Dorothy Rathburn; several brothers and sisters-in-law.
