Lois Meyers

Meyers, Lois Katherine "Kay" -- Age 90, of Swartz Creek, died December 7, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday, December 14, 2018 at Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, 7400 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Interment at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1PM-7PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, our temporary location at Hill Creek Church 5363 Hill Road, Swartz Creek and again Friday from 10AM until time of service at the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. Those desiring may make contributions to Swartz Creek United Methodist Church Endowment Fund. Lois was born on May 23, 1928 in Bay City, Michigan the daughter of Arthur and Lois (Hollister) Nuffer. She married Carroll L. Meyers in Bay City on August 30, 1958. She worked at The Carderery from 1980 -1988 and then Sears as a PBX operator from 1989-1993. She was a member of Swartz Creek United Methodist Church and a Volunteer at McLaren Hospital Auxiliary. She was a volunteer at Crossover in downtown Flint and also served with the outreach ministry. She loved reading and baking and had a huge collection of bears and snowmen. Surviving are husband, Carroll; children, Robert (Suzanne) Meyers of Sterling Heights, Donald (Laureen) Meyers of Howell, Kristi (Tony) Huttell of Northfield, Minnesota, Scott (Christina) Meyers of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren, Jeff (Diane) Meyers and twin Julie (Tim) Thompson, Crystal Meyers, Aaron Meyers, Kaley (Dan) Varley, Kourtney (Beau) Hoium, Gavin Meyers, Sydney Meyers and Ella Meyers; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Richard and Robert Nuffer. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
