Lois Martin

MARTIN, Lois Ann - Age 72, of Lennon, died May 27, 2019. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 PM Saturday, June 1, 2019 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, temporary location at Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Rd., Swartz Creek, with a Rosary at 7 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to Project Linus or Paralyzed Veterans of America. Lois was born January 13, 1947 in Axtel, KS, the daughter of Lawrence and Rosalia (Rochel) Broxterman. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and cross stitch. She was involved in Project Linus and the Prayer Shawl Ministry at St. Mary. She loved to keep people warm, especially her grandchildren, who were her world. Lois retired from Legal Services of Eastern Michigan, where she had worked as a bookkeeper. She is survived by her husband, Alvin; children, Jeff (Rachelle) Martin, Greg (Kelly) Martin, Angela (Heath) Lindley; grandchildren, Mark, Joe, Tom, Luke, Ashley R., Connor, Paige, Jake, Ashley L., Megan, Alexis and Maddie; sisters, LaBerta, Janette and Nila; brothers, Leighton and Alan; many nieces and nephews.
