Lois Campbell

CAMPBELL, Lois Mae (Strehlau) - Age 89, of Parshallville, died Friday, May 15, 2020. Private funeral services will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Interment will follow in Hartland Cemetery.

Lois was born on April 18, 1931 in Detroit, the daughter of Carl and Meta (Dearing) Strehlau. She married James Campbell Jr. on July 5, 1951 in Detroit. Lois lived in Parshallville for 53 years, coming from St. Claire Shores. She was a  homemaker raising her four children until Lois started working as a cook for the Hartland Schools for 10 years before retiring. She belonged to the Hartland Home and Garden Club. In her free time, she enjoyed oil painting, and gardening.

Surviving are her 4 children, Michael Campbell of Fife Lake, MI, Douglas (Sandra) Campbell of Linden, Scott (Carrie) Campbell of Fenton, Wesley (Marybeth) Campbell of Parshallville; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Wesley (Mary) Strehlau of Grand Rapids; 2 sisters, Joanne (Walter) Suppus of Fenton, Sally Strehlau of Madison Heights; step-sister, Loretta St. Amour; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Campbell; mother, Meta Strehlau; father, Carl (Melvina) Strehlau; brother, Earl Strehlau; 2 sisters, Gloria Strehlau and Dorothy Strehlau; and step-brother, Leo St. Amour. Tributes may shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
