BUDZINSKI, Lois Mabel (Mills) - Age 89, of Flint, went to be with the Lord and her husband Nelson, on Wednesday, May 20, 2009. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Saturday, May 23, 2009 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G-3139 Hogarth Ave., Flint, Fr. Robert Kolenski, celebrant. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek on Friday from 2-8PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7PM and at the church on Saturday from 10AM until the time of Mass. Contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice or to the family. Mabel was born December 27, 1919 in Jackson Twp., Madison County, Iowa to Jay G. and Lois I. (Spencer) Mills. She moved with her family to Flint on December 30, 1927. Mabel graduated from Flint Central High School in 1937. She worked at A.C. Spark Plug during WWII. Mabel married Nelson V. Budzinski in 1942 at St. Agnes Church. They had 41 1/2 years together before his death April 11, 1984. Together they had 4 daughters, Patti (Bobby) Jordan, JoAnn (Gene) Srebinski, Paula (Bob) Stein, Diane (Ted) Gagne. Mabel also had 9 grandchildren, John (Tracey) Jordan, Melissa Jordan, Scott (Melissa) Srebinski, Brian (Amy) Srebinski, Dawn (Harry) Frazer, Denise (Doug) Corbett, Rob (Stacy) Stein, Jennifer Gagne and Jacquie (Bobby Schafer) Gagne. There are 17 great-grandchildren, Sage, Jade, RJ, Austin, Ty-Nelson, Haley, Hannah, Spencer, Seth, Kelsey, Tanner, Lyndyn, Rowyn, Kayla Ann, Jorden, Sophia Rose, Kaia Rai; great-great-grandchildren, Bryce and one to be born November, 2009. She also leaves behind a loving sister, Lucile Smith and many nieces and nephews. Mabel resided at American House North and had many friends there. She loved to play cards, Bingo, crochet and knit. She was a long-time member of St. Agnes, the Altar Society and St. Roberts. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson; 2 granddaughters, Bridget Jordan and Mary Pat Stein; her mother and father; brother, James H. Mills; and son-in-law, Ted Gagne.
