Lloyd Greene

GREENE, Lloyd - Age 82, of Flint, was welcomed into Heaven by his wife and other family members on Tuesday, March 2, 2004. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, March 6, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. Frank Wilson officiating. Interment will be held at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Thursday, 11-2 & 5-9 PM Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation. Mr. Greene was born April 18, 1921 in Porum, OK, the son of Charlie Allen and Esther (Reed) Greene. He married Melba Gilby on April 19, 1952 in Lansing and she preceded him in death on June 18, 1999. Mr. Greene had resided in Flint since 1955. Surviving are: two sons, Lloyd Daryl Greene and wife, Candy of Mesquite, TX, Kenneth W. Greene and wife, Debra of Loudon, TN; daughter, Linda Sue and husband, Allen Ethington of Flint; nine grandchildren, Katrina and husband Steve, Kenneth Jr. and wife Desi, Kevin and fiancâ?se Angela, Allen, Stephen, Christopher, Jeremy, Melanie and J.D.; six great-grandchildren, eight brothers and sisters, Vesta Watson of WY, Bill Greene of WA, John Greene of AR, Marilyn Sue McCallister of MO, Bud Greene of Lansing, Judy Peters of Clio, Wanda Miner of MO, Pat Hager of MO. He was also preceded in death by: his parents; twin brother, Floyd Greene; brothers, Robert and Burman Greene; great-granddaughter, Zoe Greene.
