Linda Twardowski

TWARDOWSKI, Linda Jean - age 73, of Flushing, died May 19, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Friday, May 27, 2022, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473, with Rev. Robert Riggs officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Thursday and 10 AM - 11 AM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Compassion International (www.compassion.com). Linda was born May 8, 1949, in Flint, MI, the daughter of Edwin Charles and Verna Jean (Nelson) Bills. She was a graduate of Flushing High School and spent much of her life in the Flushing community. Linda was a teacher at Montague Elementary School in Mt. Morris for many years and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Flushing, where she was a longtime member. Linda married Jerry Oermann (deceased May 21, 2022) in 1970, and together, they had two children, Kim and Matt. Linda was later remarried to Cary Twardowski on June 16, 2001, and together, they enjoyed traveling and camping in their RV. She loved family, gardening, scrapbooking, and home improvement projects. Linda was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved children, and being a Grandma to four held a special place in her heart. Surviving are: husband, Cary Twardowski; children, Kim Oermann of Ferndale and Matt (Emily) Oermann of Littleton, CO; stepdaughters, Amy (Ryan) Elliott of Ann Arbor and Debi Twardowski (Nick Farrey) of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Connor and Noah Oermann and Owen and Anna Elliott; siblings, David (Jane) Bills of Flushing, Mark (Cindy) Bills of Grand Blanc, Rick (Cathy) Bills of Flushing; brother-in-law, Randy Leininger.
