Linda Lou Smith

SMITH, Linda Lou, age 82, lifelong resident of Fenton, passed away peacefully at home, under the care of hospice, on May 25, 2024.  A funeral will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 3, 2024 at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Fenton Chapel located at 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, Michigan (the funeral will be live streamed and can be viewed via the link at the base of this obituary).  The family will receive guests from 12:00 PM on Monday until the time of service. A Committal Service will be held 9:30 AM, Monday June 10 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly.    Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Linda to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association of Ann Arbor (www.phassociation.org).

Linda was born on November 12, 1941 in Fenton, Michigan to the late Rood and Mary (O'Berry) Sutherby.  She married Duane Smith on August 26, 1972 in Fenton, Michigan and he preceded her in death on October 16, 2010.  She is survived by her daughter, Emily (Bobby Daigel) Smith of Fenton.  Brother-in-law, Bert Belding of Howell; sister-in-laws, Sharon Sutherby of Flushing; Sandy Sutherby of Florida; JoAnn Sutherby of Florida.  Also surviving are nieces, nephews and Linda's childhood friend, Danny Eder.

Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Gary Sutherby; Brenda Belding; Spencer Sutherby; Tim Sutherby.
