Linda Buike

BUIKE, Linda Denise - Age 62, of Swartz Creek, MI passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Linda was born in London, England, 9/6/59 to parents Thomas Robert and Margaret Rose (Walford) Wessels. She was a 1977 graduate of Almont High School. She was employed as a writer for the Flint Journal. Much of her adult life was centered on raising her two children and supporting their various sports and activities. She loved spending time with the friends she made in her community and was known for her quick wit and humor. She was always up for a night of bingo, cards or listening to local bands with her friends and family. She loved to cook and enjoyed sharing her food with others. She was an animal lover and found great joy in caring for her pet dogs. In her last years of life, she was blessed with a son-in-law and 2 granddaughters that made her final days brighter. Linda is survived by: her daughter, Ashleigh (Justin) Miller; son, Aaron Buike; granddaughters Ava and Braelyn Miller; mother, Margaret Wessels; sisters, Lisa (Jon) Slater and Lori Tollefson; and her beloved Yorkie, Alden. She was preceded in death by: her father, Thomas R. Wessels; and her pet dogs, Poogie, Babs, and cat Chole. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI.
