WILKINSON, Lillian Melanie (Dierking) - Age 71, of Swartz Creek, passed away, Monday, August 17, 2020. Public visitation will take place Thursday, August 20, 2020, from 4 PM to 8 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Private service will take place. Funeral services will be available to view on our website at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 3 PM. Private burial will take place in Bendle Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. Lillian was born on November 16, 1948 in Valley Stream, New York, the daughter of Conrad and Camilia (Ebert) Dierking. She graduated with 2 Master's degrees and she worked as a teacher for Swartz Creek Schools for 27 years before she retired in 1995. Lillian and Larry were united in marriage on June 17, 1995 in Swartz Creek. She was an avid sports enthusiast, she loved to play volleyball and going swimming. Lillian held an interest in many activities and she was very crafty. She liked wood carving, painting and gardening. Lillian was a member of the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Wilkinson; 3 children, Adam (Sarah) Johnson, Dawn Burke and Ryan (Andrea) Wilkinson; 5 grandchildren, Justin, Trent, Jackson, Autumn and Evan; and brother and sister, Fred (Barbara) Dierking and Patty (Eileen Dunn) Dierking. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Camilia Dierking; and 2 brothers, Conrad and Henry Dierking. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfunerahomes.com
