Lillian Putman

Lillian (Jones) Putman, Age 92, died Friday, October 1, 2021 at the Munson Otsego Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.  Funeral services will be held 12 noon Monday, October 25th at the Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan, Brother Nick Franklin from the Mt. Morris Church of Christ officiating.  Burial will follow at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.  There will also be a visitation 10:00 - 12:00 noon prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to the charity of your choice, or the Otsego County Commission on Aging. Lillian was born January 30, 1929 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Frederick and Cleo (Shaver) Jones.  She was a resident of Genesee County for most of her life.  She moved to Gaylord, Michigan after the death of her husband Ralph L. Putman in 2013.  She married Ralph on February 14, 1948 in Flint, Michigan at the Zimmerman Street Church of Christ by Harold E. Hawley. Lillian and her husband Ralph were members of Carpenter Road Church of Christ in Flint and later attended Grand Blanc Church of Christ until moving to Gaylord, where she attended the Gaylord Church of Christ when she was able. Lillian is survived by her daughters Sandra Cleomaude, Kathryn (Brad) Williams, Connie (John) Holmes and Rebecca (Margaret) Putman;  Lillian is survived by sister-in-laws Fame Jones and Cleta Jones; Lillian had 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Ralph and Lillian owned and operated Putman’s TV on Flushing Road where Lillian was the secretary/bookkeeper. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, sewing, growing plants, traveling and home making. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; daughter, Brenda; son, Thomas; daughter-in-law, Deb McGee; parents; 6 brothers; and 4 sisters. Due to Covid restrictions please wear a mask.
