WEAVER, Lewis Stephen -- Age 87, of Flint, died February 3, 2012 at Durand Senior Care. Funeral Services will be 1 PM Tuesday, February 7 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Richard Hamilton officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Weaver was born December 13, 1924 in Prescott, MI, the son of Alvin and Mary (Lite) Weaver. He had resided in the Flint area since 1947. He married Virginia Mae Dabbs on November 20, 1948 in Durand. He retired from Taylor Cartage, Sears Delivery, and then retired from Carman Schools. He was a member of the First Church of Brethren, Flint. Mr. Weaver is survived by: wife Virginia; daughter, Victoria M. (Lewis) Beckwith of Belair, Maryland; son Mark S. (Carolyn) Weaver of Lennon; four grandchildren, Laura (Shawn) Sturgill, Angela (Matt) Ludwig, Kathryn Weaver, Erin Weaver; two great-grandchildren, Mallory Ludwig and Dylan Sturgill; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clifford and Orlando Weaver; and seven sisters, Mildred Colclesser, Ethel Wilbur, Mamie Good, Reubena Meisser, Erma Taylor, Betty Weaver, and Winnie Weaver.
