Lewis W. Shaker

SHAKER, Lewis W. - Age 82, died Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Saginaw V.A. Hospital. Services will be 11 AM Monday, November 26 at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4133 Calkins Road, Flint. Visitation will be 10-3 and 5-9 PM Saturday and Sunday at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc Twp., where a Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lebanon or to the family. Lewis was born July 10, 1925 in Lansing, the son of Thomas and Mary A. (Estfan) Shaker. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Air Force as a Gunner on a B17. He was Honorably discharged in December of 1945. He married Janet W. Shaker August 26, 1956, and she preceded him in death in 1976. Lewis was a Cosmetologist for 50 years and was a member of Michigan State Styles Body. Lewis was also currently an active member of the Leith Street Gang.  He is Survived by 3 children, Gregory W. Shaker of Clio; Alicia A. Shaker (Gary J. Weber) of Mt. Morris; Michael L. Shaker of Mt. Morris; grandchildren, Jennifer M. Shaker (Mark Everette), Lindsay J. Shaker, Anthony W. Shaker, Tylor J. Yott, Deven M. Shaker; brother, Delore P. Shaker; sister, Margaret M. Shaker; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Robert P. Shaker, Maron W. Shaker, Doloris A. Shaker, Paul T. Shaker.
