Lewis Orville GREGORY

GREGORY, Lewis - Age 85, a Grand Blanc resident and proud member of The Greatest Generation, passed to the Lord's care on June 13, 2011 at Genesys Hospice Care Center, Goodrich, Michigan, surrounded by family. Born to Harold and Emily Gregory on February 23, 1926 in Flint, Lewis was a Flint Central graduate and Naval veteran who served his country with honor and distinction in the Pacific during WWII. He married Rosaline (nee Attenbery) in 1947 and their 64 years of marriage produced a loving family and many dear friends who will miss this good man greatly. Lewis was exceptionally proud of his accomplished children; Peggy (Dave) Robison of Northville, Mark (Debbie) Gregory of Lafayette, Indiana and Matthew (Linda) of Portage, MI. His eight grandchildren, Corey, Ryan, Amanda, Stephen, Nickolas, Cameron, Kyle and Colin and nine great grandchildren were the center of his universe and all loved him dearly. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Harold and Donald, sister Betty, and many friends. Cremation services have been handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. A graveside service will be held 11:30 AM August 5, 2011 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
