Lester Rimka

RIMKA, Lester William - Age 77, of Dearborn Heights, went to be with The Lord on November 1, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Arthritis Foundation. Lester was born October 1, 1939 in Detroit, the son of Edward and Ruth (Anderson) Rimka. He retired from Ford Motor Company and was a member of UAW Local#600. Mr. Rimka was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and was Governor of the Livonia Moose Lodge #1317 and became the President of the Moose Association of Michigan. Lester was known for his great sense of humor. He is survived by his children, William Lester (AeYong) Rimka, Sharon Marie (Danny) Spangler, Kenneth Michael (Audrey Carroll) Rimka; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilhelmina and Grace; brothers, Edward, David and Dennis; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Rimka; sister, Ruth; brother, Everett "Jerry"; mother, Ruth Ketlehut.
