LJ was born at home on May 6, 1945, in Flint, Michigan to the late Lester V. & Dorothy Myers. He attended Swartz Creek High School and furthered his education with trade school …ultimately becoming a Master Plumber.  He owned and operated his own plumbing business for a number of years and also was employed by Buick as a pipe fitter.  He married Marlinda "Martie" Gould on April 22, 1997.

As a teenager he loved the adrenaline rush from go-kart racing. This love for racing turned into an appreciation for classic cars, his absolute favorite was any 70's model Corvette. LJ and Martie spent much of their retirement traveling throughout North America in their fifth wheel RV. LJ had been to every state but two. In earlier years, he enjoyed motorcycling and fishing. Recently he picked up reading as it kept his mind active. LJ was a man of many talents, in addition to his plumbing skills he was also a skilled carpenter, building several energy efficient homes over the years.  LJ looked forward to the holidays with family and friends and had a sweet tooth for any baked goods that came his way!  Above all LJ adored his grandchildren and enjoyed laughing, joking, and playing card games with them as they grew.  His family will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his loving wife, Martie; four children, Christina "Tina" ( Jim) Pleshakov, Shalynne (Shane) O'Neill, Michelle (David) Magnon and Darrell (Sue) Gould; eight grandchildren, Rachel Gould, Erin O'Neill, Morgan (Mitch) Wilks, Isabel (Jaxon) Beckman, Jonathan Gould, Tyler Magnon, Matthew Pleshakov and Joseph Pleshakov; three nephews, Jack Myers, J-linn (Marie) Myers and Jeff (Kelly) Meyer; nieces, Feng Myers, Laurie (John) McDonald, Kelly Clapp and Crisell (Mark) Lee; brothers-in-law, Ken (Janet) Sheldon and Paul Wrigglesworth; stepbrother-in-law, Larry Pearson and stepsister-in-law, Marcia Angersoll. Lester is further survived by many other dear family members and friends too numerous to list but never forgotten.

In addition to his parents, LJ was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Myers; Sister-in-law, Cynthia Wrigglesworth; nephew, Doug Myers; mother-in-law, Elaine Pearson and father-in-law, Roy Pearson.
