DUNNING, Leslie Earl - Age 82, of St. Helen formerly of Holly, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 PM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association or Diabetes Association. Earl was born December 16, 1928 in Flint, the son of Francis and Lydia Lucille (Loberg) Dunning. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Agnes L. Strobbe February 5, 1949 in Holly. Earl retired from Excel Corporation in Fenton. He had resided in St. Helen for the past 19 years coming from Holly. Surviving are: wife, Agnes; 3 children, Linda S. and husband David Schofield of Swartz Creek, Michael A. and wife Yvonne Dunning of Cookville, TN and Sharon K. Dismuke of Luther; 4 grandchildren, Shawn and husband John Badal of Swartz Creek, Nathan Dismuke of Redford, Nicole Dismuke of Redford and Michelle Yvonne Ahrendt of Largo, FL; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Krupa; step-sister, Marjorie Thomas; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Allen Dunning; sister, Mary Cecil Pennington. Online tributes may be posted on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
