Leslie R. CHMELAR

CHMELAR, Leslie R. age 84, of Swartz Creek, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010. A memorial service will be held 1PM Monday, August 9, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to A-One Hospice or the charity of one's choice. Leslie was born in Flushing, the son of John and Antonia (Malusek) Chmelar. He married Katherine Konecny in 1966. She preceded him in death in 2006. Leslie retired from General Motors after 25 years of service, was a member of CSA and the NRA. Survivors include, a brother Charles (Josephine) Chmelar of Florida, two sisters, Agnes (Verne) Hoshal of Brighton, Lillian (Ed) Damer of Lansing, brother-in-law Frank Ocedek of Owosso, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother Albert and sister Mary. Leslie was a kind person who will be missed. A special thank you to the staff at The Pines of Swartz Creek.
