ANDERSON, LeRoy "Lee" Harold - age 81, of Fenton, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023 at McLaren Flint. Visitation will take place from 3 PM to 7 PM on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Graveside service with Military Honors will take place 2:30 PM, Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Pastor Jeff Jaggers will officiate. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Fenton United Methodist Church, St., Jude Children's Research Hospital or Adopt-A-Pet of Fenton.
Lee was born on February 9, 1942 in Harrisville, Michigan to Harold and Bertha (Foreman) Anderson. He graduated from High School in Romeo, Michigan. Following high school, Lee and Jackie Striber would be united in marriage on August 13, 1960 in Washington, Michigan. He would proudly serve in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1968. Lee went back to school to Baker Business College graduating 1995. He worked for 30 years at GM Power Train, followed by 12 years with Taylor Hardware Service in Fenton. Lee was a faithful member of the Fenton United Methodist Church and secretary of the men's group. He enjoyed running, hunting and many years of boating. Lee also loved spending time with his family and game nights with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jackie Anderson; brother-in-law, Gerald Striber; niece, Linda and Steve Miller; nephew, John and Sandy Striber; great-nephew, Travis (Lauren) Striber and their expected baby; great-nieces, Stephanie Miller, Kristin Striber, Tiffany (Tyler) Brown; special friends, Jim McEwan, Brian Edwards, Cliff Allen and Don Waker; and his furry friends, Calie and Muppet.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Bertha Anderson and sister-in-law, Jean Striber. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
