WILSON, LeRoy David -- Age 63, of Avinger, TX, formerly of Millington, passed on December 4, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer at home surrounded by family and friends. Funeral services will be 3 PM Tuesday, December 7 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be 11 AM - 3 PM on Tuesday. LeRoy was born May 5, 1947 in Bridgeport, the son of George and Christina (Metro) Wilson. He worked for AC in Flint in Automatic Screw Machines before transferring and retiring from the Truck Group in Shreveport, LA, in 2000. He was a member of U.A.W. Local 651. LeRoy was an avid hunter and fisherman. LeRoy is survived by wife Cynthia (Conroy) Wilson; mother Christina Wilson; brothers, Lavern "Geronimo" and wife Martha Wilson, Dale and wife Margarita Wilson, Georgie Wilson; children, Kimberly, Danielle, and Garrett Wilson; step-children, Kendra and husband Jim Markley, Thomas Conroy; grandchildren, Veronica and husband Chad LaRiviere, Gregory and Madison Markley; three great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; special friends; Dan and Donna Crist; many other friends and family; and his best "girlfriend" and loyal dog Freckles.
