Leroy Savage

SAVAGE, Leroy Albert- Age 94, of Goodrich, died Tuesday October 1, 2019. Funeral services will be held 12PM Tuesday, October 8,  at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road chapel,  8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Burial will follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 10AM until time of service on Tuesday. Leroy was born June 11, 1925 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Albert and Eleanor (Juengel) Savage. He married Agnes Witkowski on September 11, 1948 in Pontiac she preceded him in death on October 17, 2016. Mr. Savage served his county in the U. S. Navy during WWII. He worked for General Motors, AC Spark Plug Plant, Engineering Research Department retiring in 1984. Leroy enjoyed golfing and gun collecting. Surviving are: sons, Joseph  (Christine) Savage of Swartz Creek, Jeff (Joni) Savage of Swartz Creek, John (Terri) Savage of Burton; grandchildren, Valerie, Nick, Christina, Jerrad, Laura, Chad, Matthew, Jessica, Paul, Greg and several great grandchildren. He was also  preceded in death by his parents;daughter, Kay Savage and siblings, Mildred, Wes, Gladys, Natalie and Joann. Tributes may be posted at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
