DUCHESNEAU, Leonell E. - Age 95, of Gaines, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at his residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, July 31 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 118 E. Lord St., Gaines, Fr. Roberrt McKeon celebrant. Family and friends will gather at the church at 10 AM Monday. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Gaines. Visitation will be held 1-5 and 7-9 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with a 7 PM Scripture service. Those desiring may make contributions to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund. Mr. Duchesneau was born September 2, 1910 in Dunseith, ND the son of Moses and Julienne (Nicholas) Duchesneau. He married Myrtle K. Reed October 2, 1933 and she preceded him in death on September 26, 1996. He had been a resident of Northville from 1941-1997, and resident of Gaines since 1997. Mr. Duchesneau was employed by Massey Ferguson as an Equipment Tester, retiring after 25 years of service. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gaines and had been a member at Our Lady of Victory in Northville. Surviving are 2 children, Theresa and husband Wilson E. 'Bill' Clark of Gaines, Donald Duchesneau of Linden; 3 grandchildren, Michael and wife Julie Clark of Burton, Katherine and husband Douglas Perry of Gaines, Andrea Duchesneau of Novi; 6 great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Jacquelyn, Julie and Jillian Perry of Gaines, Austin and Emily Clark of Burton; 2 sisters, Angelina Forman and Germaine Sweet, both of El Cajon, CA. He was also preceded in death by his son, Raymond and 15 brothers and sisters. Friends may post a tribute or share condolences at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
