FERGUSON, Leone Mignon, age 96, of Fenton (formerly of Pontiac), passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Brian's House, Davison. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, Rev. Dean Dumbrille officiating. Interment at Ottawa Park Cemetery, Clarkston. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or McLaren Visiting Nurses & Hospice. Leone was born June 3, 1913 in LaCrosse, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Thomas Howard and Ella (Weathers) Edmonston. She married Fred Ferguson on October 2, 1939 in West Plains, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1976. Leone enjoyed sewing, gardening and homemaking. She loved children, caring for many in her home throughout her lifetime. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn of Fenton; sister, Mary Allen of St. Louis, Missouri; a special sister-in-law and niece, Shirley Ferguson and her daughter Kara Ferguson Gresser, both of Waterford; and many additional loving family members throughout the country. She was also preceded in death by her 5 brothers and 3 sisters. The family extends special thanks to the staff of McLaren Visiting Nurses & Hospice, especially Amy; and to the many caregivers who have assisted in Leone's daily life.
