Leonard H. Sosnowski

SOSNOWSKI, Leonard H.  Age 88, of Flint, died Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday, December 17, 2005 at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Monsignor Richard Groshek celebrant. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-9 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a scripture service will be held at 7 PM Friday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Sosnowski was born August 9, 1917 in Detroit, the son of Stanley and Wladslawa Lottie (Lukasiewicz) Sosnowski. He married Anna Vargo on July 22, 1950 and she preceded him in death. Mr. Sosnowski was a veteran of the U.S Army serving as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1984 after 35 years of service. Mr. Sosnowski was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Surviving are: two brothers, Albin Sosnowski of Gaines, Eugene Sosnowski and wife, Florence of Taylor; many nieces and nephews.
