Leona Rykulski

RYKULSKI, Leona Wanda (Sitko), of Fenton, Michigan, age 93, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM on Monday November 19, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N Adelaide St., Fenton. Burial will follow in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton and Monday from 10-11 AM prior to the mass at the church. A rosary will be prayed at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 7:00 PM. Leona was born February 3, 1925, the daughter of the late Andrew and Pauline Sitko. She married Stanley J. Rykulski on June 23, 1945, and he preceded her in death on March 24, 1998. Leona worked at Buick Motor Division for five years. She is survived by her three sons, Stanley Rykulski and wife, Julie Brown, Edward and wife Marilyn Rykulski, and Thomas Rykulski; Sisters, Virginia and husband, Robert Vargo and Irene Taylor; grandchildren, Matthew and wife Christine Rykulski, Nicholas Rykulski, Shaye Brown, Samantha and husband Greg Grybas, Josh and wife Renae Deshaw; great-grandchild, Owen Rykulski; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline and father, Andrew Sitko; also sisters and brothers-in-law, Emily and Larry Fialka, Stella and Joseph Wesolowski, Carl Taylor and brother Anthony and wife Irene Sitko.
