Leona Burnham

BURNHAM, Leona Ann - Age 78, of Columbia, TN formerly of Fenton, died Friday, December 18, 2015. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. Jim Rolph celebrant. Burial immediately following in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Tuesday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM and at church Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Those desiring may make contribution to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Leona was born August 12, 1937 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Walt and Margaret (Wrezinski) Hajec. She married Russell C. Burnham September 15, 1962 in Fenton and he preceded her in death April 15, 1993. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was an avid Sports fan of Michigan teams, especially the Detroit Tigers. Surviving are: 7 children, Tom Burnham of Houston, TX, Don and wife Nancy Burnham of Chapel Hill, TN, Dennis and wife Jean Burnham of Phoenix, AZ, Mike Burnham of Culleoka, TN, Theresa Boger of Loretta, TN, Karen Burnham of Coloumbia, TN, and Julie Burnham of Columbia, TN; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; Brothers, Walt and wife Karen Hajec, Bill and wife Sue Hajec, John and wife Pat Hajec, Pete Hajec, Jim and wife Lori Hajec all of Fenton; sisters, Irene and husband Roger Polidan and Sue and husband Mike Pushman both of Fenton; and several nieces and nephews.
