Leon Malcomnson

MALCOMNSON, Leon James - Age 83, of Burton, passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at Genesys Health Park, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held 4 PM Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. The family will receive visitors from 12 PM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. Leon was born in Harrison, MI on September 19, 1932 the son of Donald and Lela (Woods) Malcomnson. He married Elaine Perry on June 22, 1957 in Harrison and moved to Burton in 1967. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army in Germany from 1950-1953. Leon retired from GM after 48 years of employment. Leon enjoyed going up north to his property in Harrison, hunting, fishing and attending his grandkids sporting events. Leon is survived by his wife, Elaine; son, Jim (Lisa) Malcomnson; daughters, Lori (Gary) Bailey and Kelley (Rod) Karstens; grandchildren, Logan, Nick, Lauren, Dylan and Brandi; great-grandchildren, Aubrie, Gabriella and Dominic; sister, Evelyn Breen; many extended family members and friends, Fernando, Fernando Jr. and Jeannie Moreno. Leon was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Malcomnson; sisters, Clara Hodges and Marion Pittman; brothers-in-law, Wes Semig, Glenn Hodges and Herb Breen.
