Leon George Drake II

DRAKE, Leon George II  Age 51, of Flint, died Sunday, December 19, 2004 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Services will be held 5 PM Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Jerry Foster officiating. Visitation will be from 12 PM until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Leon George Drake II Memorial Fund. Mr. Drake was born October 12, 1953 in Owosso, the son of Harlan Gene and Mary Jeanette (Howard) Drake. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during Vietnam. Mr. Drake married Susan Gentry-Manley on July 11, 1992. He had a love for learning, computers and Science Fiction. Mr. Drake received a bachelors of Computer Science from University of Michigan with honors. He put his family above all. Surviving are: wife, Susan of Flint; five children, Leon Drake III and wife, Rachel of Clare, Harlan Drake and wife, Cassandra of Phoenix, AZ, Samantha Drake of Flint, Amy and husband, Jason Buchanan, Brandon Manley and wife, Amber, all of Three Rivers; two grandchildren, Wesley Manley and Kendall Buchanan; three siblings, Linda Harmon of Flint, Howard Drake and wife, Cheryl of Traverse City, Valerie and husband, Jack Diener of Boyne City; mother-in-law, Minnie Ogden; many nieces and nephews.
