Leo Henry WRIGHT

WRIGHT, Leo Henry - age 86, of Swartz Creek, died Monday, January 12, 2009 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Tom Knight officiating. Interment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Wright was born December 22, 1922 in Paxton, IL, the son of John Marshall and Rachel Ann (Rutterford) Wright. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corp. Mr. Wright married Betty Lou Wright on February 21, 1948 and she preceded him in death on February 12, 2000. He retired from General Motors as a Die Setter in 1979 after 30 years of service after retirement Mr. Wright lived to fish. Surviving are: two sons, David (Jeanne) of Swartz Creek, Jon of Swartz Creek; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Woodrow Wright of Dimondale, John Wright of Bancroft, two sisters-in-law, Beatrice Wright of Fowlerville and Ellen Wright of Bancroft; many nieces and nephews. His children, Sandra, James and Judy Wright; sisters, Mary Lewis, Velna Brucker, Viola Scheiwe and brothers, Crawford, Roy and Virgil Wright, Orville and Albert Reckowsky also preceded him in death.
