McMANUS, Leo J. - Age 91, of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, November 19, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 3-8 PM and Tuesday from 10 AM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to Home Health and Hospice Advantage. Leo was born November 27, 1919 in Flint, the son of Joseph and Celia (Howe) McManus. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. He married Maxine O. Karrer November 2, 1945 in Flint and she preceded him in death September 4, 2009. He retired from Fisher Body Grand Blanc. He was a member U.A.W. Local 1292. Surviving are: 2 sons, James and wife Gerry McManus of Dawsonville, GA and Douglas M. McManus of Byron; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; brother, Donald and wife Jean McManus of Panama City, FL; sister-in-law, Donna McManus of Swartz Creek; brother-in-law, Jack Karrer of Swartz Creek; several nieces and nephews.
