Leo Giffen

GIFFEN, Leo Kenneth - age 73, of Fenton, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday, December 17, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd. Fenton. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 11 AM - 1 PM Monday at the funeral home. Leo was born June 14, 1945 in Argentine, the son of Edward Richard and Amber Viola (Benoit) Giffen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam and retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Leo married Barbara Jean Welshans on September 21, 2006. Surviving are: wife, Barbara; three children, Gerald Giffen II, Jackie (Pat) Cornell, and Pam (Dave) Gerber; grandchildren, Amber Knapp, Josh Knapp, Haley Cornell, Rachel (Tom) Diegel, Jessica Gerber, Elizabeth Giffen, and Tabatha Cornell; great-grandchildren, Ella Spiece, Deyon Tyson, Colton Skalski, Ryder Cornell and Dylon Diegel; sisters, Joanne Green and Marie Heft; many nieces and nephews.
