Lena Hess

HESS, Lena Mae - Age 91, of Fenton, died Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Lourdes Nursing Home in Waterford. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, April 20, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 12-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Lourdes Nursing Home. Lena was born December 4, 1915 in Allegan County, the daughter of Nicholas and Etta (Domminy) Nopper. She was married to Lavern Charles Hess on May 1, 1937; he preceded her in death on March 11, 1995. Mrs. Hess was a resident of Grand Blanc for 40 years before moving to Fenton in 1991. Surviving are: daughter, Elaine N. Snyder of Fenton; son, Kenneth and wife Christel Hess of Baltimore, MD; six grandchildren, Timothy Allen, Thomas Allen, Roberta Hess, Eric and wife Kathy Hess, Nicolos Russo, Katrina Hess; eight great-grandchildren.
