Lela Keller

KELLER, Lela Mae (Park) - Age 88, of Swartz Creek, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021. Private burial will take place at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Dr. Gordon MacKinnon to officiate. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Swartz Creek Church of Christ or Rochester University in Rochester Hills, Michigan.

Lela was born on January 21, 1933 in Flint the daughter of Fred and Harriet (Lockhart) Park. She graduated from Utley High School. Lela and James Keller were united in marriage on January 11, 1952. She was Operations Manager for Citizens Bank for many years before her retirement in 1988. Lela was a member of the Swartz Creek Church of Christ. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and traveling. During their retirement years, she and her husband visited 48 of the 50 states. Lee was also an avid sports enthusiast and loved football, baseball, and basketball. She loved to support her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all of their sporting events and performances including flying to Colorado often to watch Parker play baseball.

She is survived by her children, James Keller Jr. of Erie, CO, Nancy (Dr. Gordon) MacKinnon of Troy, and Lisa (Thomas) Carr of Fenton; grandchildren, Dr. Heidi (Mitch) Keller-Glaze, James (Teri) Keller, Zachary Keller, Ashley (Ben) Skutt, Derek Vowell, and Travis (Caitlin) Vowell, Joseph Keller; and great-grandchildren, Hannah and Kierstin Glaze, Parker and Alexis Keller, Tyler Vowell and Carson Skutt. She is also survived  by several nieces and nephews.
