SHAW, Lee - age 71, of Flint, died December 14, 2020. A private family funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473 with Chaplain Eric Carlson officiating. A live-stream of the funeral service can be viewed on his obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. A public visitation will be held 3:00 - 8:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, Old Newsboys of Flint, Flint Food Bank or a charity of ones choice. Lee was born June 24, 1949 in Flint, the son of Clifford and Joyce (Miller) Shaw and was a 1967 graduate of Lake Fenton High School. He married Marilyn Manns on April 28, 1984 in Fenton. Lee retired from General Motors Flint Engine Plant in 2008 after 41 years of service in skilled trades as a Tool Maker and was a member of U.A.W. Local #659. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren whom he truly adored. Lee enjoyed hunting, camping, traveling, cruising, skiing, riding his motorcycles and loved spending time up north with his wife of 36 years and he was an avid Red Wings fan. Lee and his wife were long-time members of Schussmeisters Ski Club and Flint Elks Lodge 222. Lee was such a gentle soul and was always ready and willing to help anyone in need. Surviving are: wife, Marilyn Shaw of Flint; three children, Jamie Shaw of Carey, ID, Jennifer (Brett) Wardrop of Grand Rapids, and Michelle (Neil) Wendt of Goodrich; grandchildren, Connor and Devin Wardrop and Elizabeth and William Wendt; siblings, Don (Lora) Shaw, Tim (Cathy) Shaw, Dorothy (Jerry) Pace; sister-in-law, Joanne Shaw; several nieces and nephews; his life-long hunting buddies, Butch and Gary. He was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Marvin Shaw; sister-in-law, Doris Manns and niece, Hayleigh Shaw.
