Lawrence Whitaker

WHITAKER, Lawrence Roy - age 70, of Mt. Morris, died December 25, 2020. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc, MI 48507. A private funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership. Larry was born October 4, 1950 in Saginaw, the son of George L. Whitaker and Diane Cecelia (Samolin) Chase. He married Terry Brewer on June 18, 1983. Larry retired from Beecher Public Schools and Linden Community Schools. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors and woodworking. Larry was a patient, calming and gentle man which made him a wonderful teacher to his children and grandchildren. He was a jack of all trades. Surviving are: wife, Terry Whitaker; three children, Kimberly (David) Wilhelm, Heather (James) Ranbarger, Jr. and Eric (Ashley) Whitaker; nine grandchildren, Jaydin, Mackenzie, Natalie, Elisha, Lillie, Jameson, Chloe, Dallas, and Emma; many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
