Lawrence A. Richards

RICHARDS, Lawrence A., age 90, of Fenton, formerly of Flushing and Bradenton, FL, died Saturday June 5, 2004 at his residence.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 noon Tuesday June 8, 2004 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, Fr. Peter Clark celebrant.  Entombment to follow at Tyrone Memory Gardens, Fenton.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, with a Rosary Service being prayed at 8 pm.  Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the St. Judes Childrens Hospital.  Mr. Richards was born April 12, 1914 in Laconia, New Hampshire, the son of Albert and Eva (Burke) Richards.  He married Lillian M. Goguen and she preceded him in death in 1975.  Mr. Richards was an electrical engineer at Consumers Power having retired in 1973 after 20 years of service.  He was a member of Elks Lodge 195 in Lawrence, Massachusetts since 1943 and a member of Masonic Lodge John Hancock in Methuen, Massachusetts since 1945.  Mr. Richards is survived by:  second wife Zora (Sayatovic) of Fenton; daughter Carol L. Welch and husband William III of Fenton; grandson William J. Welch IV and wife Jill of Grand Blanc, granddaughter Cheryl Elmer and husband David of Fenton, granddaughter Leanne Welch of Swartz Creek; six great grandchildren; brother William C. Richards of North Andover, Massachusetts, brother Robert A. Richards of Las Vegas, Nevada.  Mr. Richards was preceded in death by brother Andrew H.
