OSTERMAN, Lawrence C. "Larry" - age 77, of Fenton, died May 2, 2018 at McLaren - Flint. A Knights of Columbus Chalice service will be held 7 PM Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. The family will receive friends from 5 PM - 7 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton or Adopt-A-Pet of Fenton, 13575 Fenton Rd., Fenton. He was born March 9, 1941 to Theodore and Bandyl Osterman in Flint. Larry graduated from Flint Central High School in 1959, and was employed at General Motors V-8 Engine Plant for 30 years, retiring in 1991. He married Christine Rogers in June 1968 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton where he was a member most of his life. They have two children, Karen and husband, Ed Morris of Grand Rapids and Matthew Osterman of Fenton. Larry and Chris enjoyed pending summer with their family at the cabin on Lake Huron, built by his parents. Larry was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 7418, in which he held office, and also served as Chairman of the K of C Charity Bingo for many years. Larry is survived by: his wife, Chris; daughter, Karen (Ed) and son, Matt. Also surviving are: his sister-in-law, Jan of Craig, CO and many cousins, nieces and nephews, and many close friends (as well as their Welsh Corgi, Sandy).
