Lawrence Barnes

BARNES, Lawrence (“Larry”) Mulford - age 69, of Flint, our dearest husband, father, grandfather, passed away on October 8, 2019, peacefully, with his family by his side. Funeral Service will be held at First Flint Seventh-day Adventist Church, 4285 Beecher Rd, Flint, on October 13 2019 at 12 PM. Visitation will begin at 11 AM, until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to First Flint Seventh-day Adventist School.

Larry was born June 13, 1950 in Goodrich, Michigan, the son of Lawrence (“Mel”) M. Barnes, Sr. (father) and June B. (Saxton) Wiers (mother). He married the love of his life, Joanne, January 16, 1981. Larry enjoyed golf, Detroit Sports Teams, and always wanted to go fishing. Larry had great faith in God and loved his family. He will be dearly missed by all. Larry is survived by his wife Joanne (“Jody”); children Bruce Bauman, Stacy Lynn (Jesse) Anderson, Cory Lawrence (Ashley) Barnes; grandchildren, Austin Anderson, Dominic Anderson, Seth Anderson, and Charlotte June Barnes; siblings, Dennis B. (Caren) Wiers and Deborah W. (Timothy) Vincent; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents, father Mel Barnes, and mother June B. Wiers and step”dad” Lambert (“Hank”) H. Wiers; siblings Steven S.
