Lawrence Herman

HERMAN, Lawrence J. - Age 96, of Fenton, died March 14, 2015. Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or Red Cross. Lawrence was born November 16, 1918 in Negaunee, MI the son of John and Mary (Licquia) Herman. He married his "one in a million" Juleen Rivard, November 23, 1946; enjoying 54 years together until her death in 2001. Mr. Herman was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from General Motors. He was an avid writer and painter. He loved to tell jokes, travel, camp, play cards and live life. Surviving are: daughters, Sarah Satalich-Herman, Shelly (Steve) Lund, Cindy (Greg) Sklar; grandchildren, Rachel Herman, Joey Herman, Alan (Shelli) Lund, Marc Lund, Meredith Lund, Alexander Sklar, Alyssa Sklar; great-grandchildren, Preston, Ethan, Kennady, Stephen and Jacob; brother, Fred (Doris) Herman.
