DENHAM, Lawrence Richard, "Larry", age 75, of Linden, unexpectedly passed away in New Smyrna Beach, FL where he had a winter residence on January 26, 2008. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:30PM Friday, February 1, 2008 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery where Military Honors will be served under the auspices of Fenton V.F.W. Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243. Visitation will be Thursday 3-8PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Larry was born on July 24, 1932 in Pontiac, Michigan to Oscar and Anna (Thompson) Denham. He married Laura Woodworth in 1952 and she preceded him in death on November 30, 2002. Larry was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He retired from GM Metal Fab after 35 years as a Millwright. Â He was a devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Fenton Moose, Eagles, VFW and the American Legion. His hobbies included golfing, traveling, and building ships in bottles. His ships are cherished by those who were fortunate enough to have received one! All his family and friends who loved him will miss his smiling face and helping spirit from Michigan to Florida. Larry leaves three children, Jeanette (Danny) Lester of Fenton, Greg (Patricia) Denham of Saginaw, Andy (Bobbie) Denham of Holly; and a sister, Frances Denham of Waterford. He also leaves 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and was looking forward to welcoming a new great-granddaughter in February. Larry also leaves a very special devoted friend, Barb Church.
