BATROW, Lawrence Allen  Age 55, of Flint, died Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, May 24, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 3-9 PM Friday and 11 AM until the time of service Saturday. Veteran Honors will be performed immediately following the funeral service under the auspices of 40/8 Voiture #1116. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to American Legion Red Arrow Post # 151. Mr. Batrow was born July 25, 1947 in Flint, the son of William Stanley and Ellen Rose (Provance) Batrow. He had resided in Flint his entire life. Mr. Batrow was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of American Legion Red Arrow Post # 151 for 29 years, 40/8 Voiture #1116 for 28 years. He had attended Mott Community College and was employed by General Motors for several years. He was also employed at the Flint Golf Club and he was a Union Steward. Surviving are: two daughters, Ellen Evelyn and husband, Steven Kheibler of Traverse City, Linda Ann Batrow of Zilwaukee; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Amber, Ashley, and Steven; mother and step-father, Ellen and James Waller of Flint; brother, David and wife, Becky Waller of Freesoil, MI; two nephews, Andrew and Michael; two nieces, Davi Lynn and Mary Ellen Waller; several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
