Lawanda M. FORD

FORD, Lawanda M., age 63, of Swartz Creek, passed away, Thursday, January 15, 2009 at home. Funeral Services will be 1:00PM Monday, January 19, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Daniel Rhanor officiating. Visitation will be 4-8PM Sunday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice in Lawanda's memory. Lawanda was born September 20, 1945 in Kennett, Missouri, the daughter of J.B. Hindmon and Mary Lee Fuller. She married Edward Lee Ford July 30, 1965 in Flint. Lawanda enjoyed camping and fishing, but most of all motorcycle riding. She was a member of Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) and cherished the many friendships made through traveling with GWRRA. She will be missed dearly by her husband of 43 years, Edward Lee Ford of Swartz Creek; son, Edward Lee Ford Jr. (Martha) of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Mandi and Matthew; great-granddaughter, Amanda; mother, Mary Lee Hindmon of Swartz Creek; brother, Jerry Hindmon (Donna) of Swartz Creek; 3 sisters, Cora Winfrey (Chet) of Swartz Creek, Carolyn Rhanor (Dan) of Howell, Terry Hewson (Irvin) of Arkansas and many nieces and nephews.
