LaVonne Hammer

HAMMER, LaVonne M. - Age 68, of Fenton, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at University Hospitals, Ann Arbor. Services will be held 3 PM Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society of Livingston County or Fenton Adopt A Pet. LaVonne was born February 12, 1940 in Flint, the daughter of Gordon and Helen (Townsend) Stephens. She was a 1958 graduate of Flint Central High School and earned a degree from Central Michigan University. LaVonne retired from Hurley Hospital, where she worked as a medical technician. She was also a member of the Fenton O.E.S. Surviving are: daughters, Martha Hammer of Flint, Sandra Hammer and James McCammon II of Brighton; grandaughter, Angela Hanners of Flint former husband, Frederic N. Hammer of Titusville, FL; sister, Cheryl Groner of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents.
