DePLANTY, LaVerne Otis "Vern" - Age 59, of Fenton, died Thursday, August 14, 2014. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, August 18, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Burial immediately following in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Vern was born December 17, 1954 in Flint, the son of Herbert Lee and Doris Eileen (Durig) DePlanty. Surviving are: brother, H. Edward and wife Linda DePlanty of Fenton; nieces and nephew, Cody DePlanty of Fenton, Ciara and husband Scott Beckham of Linden, and Danelle DePlanty of Thornton, Colorado; great nieces, Mackynzi Beckham of Linden, Haley and Gracie Henderson of Thornton, Colorado.
