Lavern Zenner

ZENNER, Lavern Edward- Age 93, of Westland, formerly of Kingsley, died Monday April 4, 2016. A private graveside service will be held at Great lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly. Those desiring may make contributions to the Diabetes Association or to a charity of one's choice to benefit veterans. Lavern was born July 30, 1922 in Mayfield, the son of Edward and Marcella (Worm) Zenner. He was a graduate of Kingsley High School. He married Jean Yvonne Ankerson November 9, 1946 in Kingsley and she preceded him in death on March 19, 2016. Lavern served in the U.S. Marines. He worked at Foundry Flask & Equipment. Lavern is survived by his children, Gloria and husband Jerry Hull of South Lyon, Dee and husband Richard Butler of Linden, Duane and wife Julie Zenner of Plymouth, Douglas Zenner of Hartland, and Dennis and wife Stacey Zenner of Westland; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; 8 brothers, Albert, Carl and wife Linda, Elmer and wife Lucille, Dan and wife Donna, James and wife Sue, Lyle and wife Sue, Richard and wife Gay, Roy and wife Bennie; 2 sisters, Rose, Mari-ann and husband Ron.
