CRAMER, LaVern C. - Age 93, of Linden, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Fenton Extended Care Center. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Pastor Donald Neuville officiating. Burail in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 2-5 and 6-9 PM. A Order of Eastern Stars Memorial Service will be held 7 PM Friday at the funeral home, followed immediately by a Masonic Memorial Service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Linden Masonic Lodge #132 F.&A.M. or Heartland Hospice. Mr. Cramer was born May 29, 1918 in Flint, the son of Howard F. and Mabel M. (Darrow) Cramer. He was a 1938 graduate of Flint Central High School. He married Betty J. Garling July 16, 1938 in Indiana and she preceded him in death January 5, 2009. Mr. Cramer retired in 1974 from Fisher Body after 34 years of service; he also owned and operated Vern's Bike Shop for many years. He had resided in the Linden area since 1955 coming from Flint. He was a member of the Linden Masonic Lodge #132 F.&A.M. and Michigans Vehicle City Beam Bottle Club. Surviving are: 2 sons, Carl and wife Sharon Cramer of Tuscon, AR and Frank and wife Gracy Cramer of Grand Blanc; daughters-in-law, Carol Cramer of Millington and Joy Cramer of Fenton; 8 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchild; brother, Ken and wife Libra Cramer of Swartz Creek; nephews, Dennis Cramer of Swartz Creek and Mark Cramer of Fenton; special niece, May Ellen George.
