Laurie Willard

Laurie A. Willard, age 55, of Flint, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 12PM until 7PM and again on Friday, January 13, 2023, from 11AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 1PM at Sharp Funeral Home, 8138 Miller Road in Swartz Creek. Interment will be held at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint Township on Flushing Road. Online condolences can be shared at www.sharpfunerahomes.com. In lieu of flowers, Laurie’s family ask that donations be made to assist in the cost of the funeral services.

Laurie attended Kearsley High School. Laurie enjoyed listening to music; her favorite genre was 80’s music. Some of the things she enjoyed the most included playing Bingo and card games with her family. She also made hook rugs, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and looked forward to watching soap operas and Lifetime shows. Laurie will be greatly missed by her family, she was a very bold, funny and a spitfire of a woman.

She is survived by her mother, Beverley Willard; daughter, Felicia Willard; grandson, Elijah Hodge; five siblings, Glenda Chamberlain, Glen (Renae) Bice, Kay Bice, Denise (Damond) Bartsoff, Catherine (Dan) Chandler and significant other, David Garner. Laurie is further survived by many other dear family members and friends. Laurie was preceded in death by her father, David Willard Sr; brother, David Willard Jr. and brother-in-law, Rockford Chamberlain.
