Age 95, of Flint, passed away peacefully, Sunday September 22, 2019. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Westside Church, 5090 Pasadena Ave, Flushing. Pastor Ed Emmerling and Pastor Michael Thornburg celebrating. Burial will take place 2:30 PM Saturday, in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 2 PM to 4 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek and 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM Saturday. Laurence was born on November 19, 1923 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma the son of Mr. & Mrs. Lester and Florence (McClure) McCullough. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II in Okinawa and Peleliu. Laurence worked for General Motor Buick for 40 years, before retiring in 1988. He ran a small engine repair business, repairing lawn mowers for 50 years. He was a member of the Westside Church. He is survived by his, brother-in-law, Stanley; step-daughter, Lyla Jean; and several nieces and nephews. Laurence is preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Jean; parents, Lester and Florence; son, Ricky; two brothers and four sisters, Thelma, Nadine, Lonnie, Stanley, Eva and Delores.
